1. Acceptance and Purpose

Welcome to Meridian Mentors, an educational and career mentoring initiative powered by the GoForth Foundation (“GoForth”, “we”, “us”), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Meridian Mentors connects adult students with verified industry mentors for practical career insights, skill application, and educational guidance.

2. Eligibility and Adults-Only Requirement (18+)

To register or participate as a student, mentor, or staff reviewer, you must be at least 18 years of age. By creating an account or claiming an invitation, you represent and warrant that you are an adult of legal age. Minors are strictly prohibited from using the platform. Any account discovered to belong to an individual under 18 will be terminated immediately.

3. Non-Commercial Mentoring Scope

Mentoring provided through the platform is non-commercial, voluntary, and developmental. Participating mentors offer perspectives and practical guidance based on their professional experience. Meridian Mentors does not guarantee job placement, employment offers, university admission, academic grades, or investment funding. Mentorship interactions must not be construed as legal, financial, or medical advice.

4. Academic Integrity Covenant

Meridian Mentors is committed to the highest standards of academic integrity. Mentoring is intended for professional orientation, industry understanding, and high-level career concepts:

  • No Coursework Completion: Mentors shall not write, edit, code, or complete graded coursework, assignments, or essays on behalf of students.
  • No Exam Assistance: Students shall not submit test questions, quizzes, active examination prompts, or homework assignments for completion by mentors.
  • Honor Code Compliance: Participants must adhere to the honor codes and academic regulations of their affiliated institutions. Violations may result in account termination and institutional escalation.

5. Rules of Engagement and Prohibited Conduct

All participants must uphold an environment of mutual respect and psychological safety. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Solicitation: Soliciting money, loans, gifts, donations, or investments from students or mentors.
  • Harassment & Inappropriate Conduct: Any form of predatory behavior, sexual harassment, discrimination, or abusive language.
  • Off-Platform Redirection: Pressuring participants to move conversations to unmonitored private communication channels outside the safety boundaries of the platform.
  • Impersonation & Unauthorized Access: Misrepresenting your credentials, identity, or program affiliation.

6. User Content and Platform License

You retain ownership of the questions, responses, and materials you submit. You grant Meridian Mentors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the mentoring program and facilitating communication with your matched counterpart.

7. Safety Reporting and Account Termination

Any participant may submit a confidential safety report regarding inappropriate conduct. We reserve the right to immediately suspend, pause, or terminate account access, revoke program memberships, and refer serious safety violations to institutional administrators or authorities.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoForth Foundation disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
